Tax Update Home Throughout the year, the Treasury announce changes in both personal and corporate taxes. Add to this the current Chancellor's method of announcing new legislation which may not come into effect for two or three years, and keeping up with the changes which affect you or your business can become a weighty task.
From now on, you will be able to keep right up to date with changes that may affect you by reading the new Tax Update page on our website www.lentells.co.uk/taxupdate
Tax Update will be written by Lentells Director Nigel Gamblen. A member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Nigel sits on the select South West Working Together Group - a forum which brings together regional representatives of HM Revenue & Customs with regional tax advisers to discuss the operation and improvement of the direct taxation system, for the benefit of tax payers. Nigel's aim in launching the new service is to make sure that Lentells clients are informed of changes well in time to discuss issues with the Lentells team and find the most effective, efficient, beneficial ways of embracing those changes.
His first bulletin, now live online, looks at upcoming changes in PAYE codings relating to retirement annuities, Trust legislation, Pension Term Assurance, Company Car Fuel Rates, Construction Industry Scheme, and more. And in May, once the mass of information which is issued post-Budget by the Treasury has been thoroughly examined, you'll be able to read Nigel's analysis of how the 2007 Budget may affect you.
