Last day for furlough claims!

Furlough

Today is the last day employers can make a furlough claim through the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.

For claims relating to September 2021, the Government will pay 60% of wages up to a maximum cap of £1,875 for the hours the employee is on furlough.

Once a claim has been submitted, the employer will be given a claim reference number. HMRC will check the claim is correct and pay the claim amount by BACs into the employer’s bank account within 6 working days.

If you made an error in your claim, you must amend the claim by 11.59pm on 28 October 2021.

If you have missed the claim deadline, HMRC may accept late claims if you have a reasonable excuse, taken reasonable care to try to claim on time and if you have claimed without a delay as soon as possible.
